The Friday Night Coyote 5K Run is brought to you by Dirt Devil Racing. This trail run will take you on a meandering “Lolly-Pop” course starting at the Tecolote Canyon Nature Center and ending right where you started. There is plenty of parking. We can not officially serve you alcohol after the race but alcohol is allowed in Tecolote Community Park which is adjacent to the Nature Center. So BYOB, celebrate your Friday night 5K with a twilight happy hour! “Welcome to Tecolote Canyon Natural Park. It is a special place. Few people realize San Diego County is recognized worldwide as a “biodiversity hotspot”. There are more endangered and threatened species in our county than any other county in the continental US. Your event is being held in a unique and treasured habitat. There are twenty-two listed species in Tecolote Canyon. Please treat this park with the respect it deserves: stay on the trails, be respectful of other visitors’ space, and leave no trash behind. Be advised there are hazards, which include Poison Oak and occasionally a rattlesnake. Enjoy, stay safe and feel free to visit us again. If you would like more information about other events within Tecolote Canyon you can join the Friends of Tecolote Canyon and Nature Center on meetup.com https://www.meetup.
